AYUR·YOGA

AYUR·YOGA is a holistic way to reach health and harmony by adapting Yoga and Veda to the individual. Yoga as an ancient science from India means to join body, breath, and mind in a spiritual way. According to the Yoga tradition of T. Krishnamacharya (India) it is very important to respect the physical, emotional, and mental conditions of each person and to build yoga practice upon these. Therefore AYUR·YOGA emphasizes the adaptation of Yoga and Veda to the needs of the individual. Even for individuals with light physical constrictions Yoga practice in class is feasible through these adaptations. To people with serious health issues Yoga therapy is offered in one-to-one sessions based on an individually elaborated training plan.

In AYUR·YOGA a state of holistic harmony is reached through asanas and pranayama, relaxation, chanting, and meditation. Aligning body, breath, and mind allows us to look inside and find stillness and clarity. The aim of yoga is to calm the mind to an extent that sets us free from mental activity and lets us experience our higher self.
